Today Records Hottest Day of the Year

Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan, experienced its hottest day of the year on Sunday, with the temperature soaring to a scorching 37 degrees Celsius (98.6 degrees Fahrenheit). The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported that the city’s humidity levels reached 45%, making it feel even hotter than the temperature indicated.

The temperature in Karachi was 3 degrees higher than the previous day, with neighboring cities such as Chhor, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mithi, and Mohenjo Daro also experiencing extremely high temperatures, ranging from 40-41 degrees Celsius (104-105.8 degrees Fahrenheit).

According to the PMD, hot and dry weather is expected to continue in Sindh, but no heatwave warning has been issued. The upcoming months of May, June, and July are typically the hottest in Pakistan.
